OK frankly speaking i dun REALLY like to watch e gals... cos they tend to be a bit more OTT...
here's an on the dot start to my live commentary...
now is F1 Xi Xinhui + F2 Pan Jiali Chanel, singing "High High High" by Zhang Hui Mei... ok a lot of moving around on stage n good stage rapport... but harmonising not tt good... feels like they are trying a bit too hard to look like they have stage presence and not be outshone by the duet partner... but they end up looking like they are a bit straining their voices on e higher pitched parts...
shall see wat e judges say...
F1 Xi Xinhui sings "Xuan Yao" (show off in Mandarin) by Kit Chan... too much of her hand movements... point n point n point... move up & down... voice sound like e same range thruout... not much of variation in her emotions n pitching... levels oso... wrong song...
judges say she chose wrong song... n she couldn't catch e pitch & rhythm in e front... she says she nervous cos she’s e first one… but judge say superstar is superstar… no excuses…n she seems to be forcing a look of confidence... they teaching her how to sing... how to project her voice from her head... she got a lot of excuses lah… her score is 29.5...
F2 Pan Jiali Chanel sings "Mei Li Ben Nu Ren" (pretty silly lady in Mandarin) by Coco Lee... too much of side head movement... not every song oso can do Indian head movement one... its a slow song leh... even if her singing is a bit better than F2... ok she didn't hit e high pitches... her hair shouldn't ve combed upwards cos her forehead is very high...dun like her very fake leh....
judges say she didn't sing the song as good as in e past... can have more body movement???!!! GOD!!! she oso never look at e judges... not enought stage presence... her score is 36!!!! GOD!!!
F3 Chen Jianxin + F4 Cai Shini singing “Bad Boy” by Zhang Hui Mei AGAIN!!!! Ok I think their harmonizing is better than e first duet…I think they are e best duet today’s pgm… stage presence not quite there yet cos one is like ultra thin with a big head… n one is a bit on e chubby side… cos when she moves around e stage her tummy shakes…!!!! She reminds me of Olinda Cho from Singapore Idol…
F3 Chen Jiaxin singing “Hui Zhe Chi Pang De Nu Hai” (The Girl Waving Her Wings in Mandarin) by Joey Yung… I think this is a rather difficult song to sing as there are several very very high notes n several very very low notes that are scattered around e song… and alas she misses some notes... n e high notes sound a bit strained... she oso looks too thin on TV... head thus looks big... not ALL gals look like this gal/ Stephanie Sun... wrong song wrong outfit...
judges agreed with my comments... her voice dun sound natural in this song... judges oso say her head looks too big in proportion to her body cos her outfit so small then she looks even more thin than in real life... one even asked her if she eats a lot... n she said she ate a lot before the contest but still...Score is 32... i think... sorry cant really remember cos my com hanged at tt moment n i had to retype this portion...
Youngest contestant 18-year-old F4 Cai Shini singing “Ben” (Run in Mandarin) by Stephanie Sun… not very original… very imitative… even e judges oso say so pitching, voice , etc all imitating Stephanie Sun... shouldn't have done tt when Li Wei Song is there lor... cos he's her sensei mah... sound rather breathless cos this is a uptempo song n she dun/cant really move much… prob cos her voice not strong enuff to sing n dance at e same time…
Judges say that she look like she cant run like e name of e song… n it looks as if her weight is e reason why she cant move much… n its time for her to lose some weight… so mean… well anyway later another one say her outfit make her look shorter then she really is cos she not so tall n she’s wearing hipster… n oso she never wear heels… if wear heels then will elongate her body…Score is 27 I think… again my com hanged when its F3 & F4… I think it dun like them…
F5 Guo Mei Xi Macy + F6 Chen Jing Ying Candy singing “Mo Mo Ai Ni” (Loving You Silently in Mandarin) by Human Nature harmonizing-wise they are THE worst... TOTALLY way off... dunno why its so bad... maybe one if them is pitch-deaf or something... they seem to be singing to their own pitch n disregarding e other person... n their movements r so stiff n rehearsed... look very unatural... even e walk across to e other side of e stage looks stiff... n e last pose is just fake... *sign* some ppl should just NOT try to dance if they can't... & like what Alwaysane mentioned... to go LEARN how to dance... if not dance... LEARN HOW TO MOVE nicely to rhythm & naturally on stage...
F5 Guo Mei Xi Macy singing “Bu Ku” (Don’t Cry in Mandarin) by Shino Lin… nice song but she looks so old on stage… starting part her voice like haven’t warm up like that… a bit weak… not very emotional… I think she looks like a man leh in woman body… her face is a man’s… then her neck is so long…
Judges say her top can see but her bottom cannot see… then she looks very stiff on stage n not very natural… her style her personality dun shine thru…. Score is 28…
F6 Chen Jing Ying Candy singing “Baby Dui Bu Qi” (Baby Sorry in Mandarin) by Coco Lee; “A Puro Dolos”/ ‘Purest of Pain” by Son By Four… I liked her voice … lower n a bit more raspy… n her voice oso can resonate… but her voice went out of pitch!!!!
Judges say e song got no climax… no emotions… look like ppl own her money… her voice not powerful enuff… not attention commanding enuff… haven’t find herself, her own style yet… can sing better… 21 year-old only but sing like old lady… oily singing…. Like pub singing… just one word wrong song wrong costume… score 25.5…
God e gals all sing so bad but they got so high marks… higher than e guys… so unfair… e lecherous judges… they say e gals’ performance is more entertaining… my head… singing so bad still say their voice quality is good but e skills not there… *sign*… but at least they are much better judges than e Singapore Idol ones… they give constructive comments…. Tt can help ppl to change their singing for e better…
can't wait to see e results at 11.30pm...
